A hybrid of A. stipitatum and A. aflatunense raised by Mr A Langedijk. It has strong, straight glossy green stems, usually 36” tall or more with one flattened edge. The leaves persist till nearly flowering time in late May or June. The head is a ball of white flowers 4-5” (10-12.5cm) across, which is particularly good used with other strong colours such as Gladiolus byzantinus, or against a dark hedge.
Planting instructions
Try and envisage the effect in late May with the white flower at 36” (90cm) and plant to combine with other strong colours nearby. 4-5” (10-12.5 cm) deep in a sunny soil and about 12” (30cm) apart.
