Native to eastern China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. Due to its origins is very hardy to cold and damp but because it is very late flowering we tend to grow them in pots so that we can enjoy the flowers without them being spoiled by the weather. The narrow needle-like foliage does not die back during flowering but turns rust red as the plant moves into winter. Flowering in October/ November to 4".
