Ideal for a herbaceous border or for naturalising in grass. Produces large white wide-opening pure white flowers in early May to 24"-36" (60-90 cm) tall. A crown of thick fleshy roots when dormant in the autumn, providing for a splendid plant enjoying moisture retentive soil in good light which when settled will produce a dozen or more flower stems. The flowers open sequentially up the stems piercing through the foliage to carry their little flared trumpets with yellow stamens.
