Asphodeline liburnica
Also known as Jacob's Rod, this plant is native to the eastern Mediterranean area including Greece, Croatia, Bosna and Italy. The pretty lemon yellowed flowers are produced on long wiry stems. Grass-like leaves crowd the base of the stem, turning straw coloured in summer. Flowers in June /July at 36" tall.
Planting instructions
Summer flowering in any sunny site in reasonable soil. Plant 4" deep, maybe 12" apart. Allow 15" spread. Mulch in autumn in very cold areas.
