Order Code: 9-7
Begonia sutherlandii
A native of Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa this particular species is tender and tuberous, and could be used either in the garden in part shade or potted in a light room indoors. Keep the same tubers a year or two and you will have many hundreds of flowers on each plant, small sprays of orange against the small green leaves. In more shade (or indoors) they get longer and more trailing.
Planting instructions
Pot up into good compost and start off in warm light conditions. In summer grows best in light shade. They are not hardy so the tubers will need protection over winter.
