Brimeura amethystina alba
Known also as Spanish Hyacinth, Brimeura amethystina comes from largely limestone areas in the Pyrenees and N.E. Spain and in Slovenia and Croatia. This is the white form, about 8” (12cm) high, with slender stems carrying white tubular flowers, and bright green, grass-like leaves. These are slightly more vigorous than the blue form, and show up well in slight shade. Flowering in May to June, they are easy to grow in a well-drained sunny spot, and happy with a dry summer dormancy.
Planting instructions
Plant in a well drained position, 2-3” (5-7.5cm) apart in sun or part shade.
