Cosmos peucedanifolius
A plant of Central and South America with ferny leaves and striking flowers the same shape and form as the more familiar chocolate Cosmos but in a strong pink colour. These plants set seed, but will still need winter protection as with tubers. . A lovely airy feel to this plant which will go well with ground cover plants eg Alchemilla mollis and silver-leafed perennials eg Achillea. Pink flowers Summer, 15"
Planting instructions
Pot the tuber in March and harden off and wait until after the last frosts before planting out. Plant in full sun. 2'-2'6" (60-75cm). Keep moist, deadhead spent flowers.
