The much rarer white form. Well worth special treatment and a well-prepared, sheltered site. Broader petalled and so a more comely shape. Flowering in August/September 30" (75cm).
Planting instructions
These are generally bigger bulbs so a deeper planting hole will be necessary. Prepare with well rotted horse manure or homemade compost. Bury the bulb to leave just the tip showing above the soil. Allow 18"-2' (45-60cm) between bulbs. Keep moist after flowering.
There are literature reports that all parts of the plants can cause severe discomfort if digested, contact with the sap may irritate the skin.
