Pale pink flowers lasting some weeks as long as it is not too dry. Softer in colour from the normally cultivated form. Some very big bulbs if the rest of your order allows. Flowering in August / September 30" (75cm).
Planting instructions
Good warm deep sunny soil, moist in summer. These do really well in heavy soils so prepare the planting hole well with eg horse manure or homemade compost. Plant base 12" deep if your soil allows with just the tip showing above ground. Leave at least 18"-2' (45-60cm) between bulbs. Keep moist after flowering. These would work well in a bed with jungle-style plants. Their strap-like leaves are great for keeping the weeds down!
There are literature reports that all parts of the plants can cause severe discomfort if digested, contact with the sap may irritate the skin.
