Vigorous plant with broad pale leaves and single flowers.
Order Code: 22-21
Galanthus elwessii var.monostictus
The RHS Award of Garden Merit is awarded for ease of cultivation, excellence and constitution but not necessarily hardiness. A vigorous plant with broad pale leaves, the single flowers marked with a single mark on the inner petals. Increasing and spreading, a good simple snowdrop - what many of us used to call G.caucasicus.
Planting instructions
All snowdrops prefer cool, moist conditions in the spring and a surprisingly dry summer dormancy in the shade. Planted in the green about 4-5" deep should become established and thrive.
