Nanus gladiolus with crimson flowers with a white centre and pale flecking. in early summer. Flower spike is 9" long with 7 or so buds of which 4 or 5 will be open at any one time. June 24" tall (60cm)
Planting intructions
Plant in fertile, well drained soil, 4-6" (10-15cm) deep, 4" (10cm) apart in clumps, with added grit if drainage is not good. These gladiolli flower in the early summer. They do grow away quickly, however, and an early mild spell in spring may result in foliage being susceptible to severe frost, so mulching is possibly needed. Apply a high-potash liquid fertiliser when spikes reach about 8" (20cm).
