A South African native of the Transvaal and is a cormous perenial, that spreads by underground runners. In late Summer and early Autumn, it produces dusty purple flowers with golden centres to 3ft tall.
Planting instructions
Requires cool growing conditions in moist humus rich soil, spreads via stolens Plant in a sunny situation in moisture retentive soils, about 4-5" deep and 5" apart. In cold gardens may need mulching in winter.
