The RHS Award of Garden Merit is awarded for ease of cultivation, excellence and constitution but not necessarily hardiness. A slender G.cardinalis hybrid producing small spikes of 3-6 starry, tapered, gleaming white flowers tinged with green at the throat. A real garden favourite and super cut flower. Flowering in July to 18"
Planting instructions
Plant in fertile, well drained soil, 4" (10cm) deep, 4" (10cm) apart in clumps, with added grit if drainage is not good. Apply a high-potash liquid fertiliser when spikes reach about 6" (15cm).
