Dramatically effective with deep lilac to purple hues and yellow anthers. These bulbs react to the lowering of the soil temperatures and the presence of moisture by flowering in the late autumn. The spring flowering forms flower as soil temperatures rise.
Good in light shade or under deciduous shrubs and even in grass if not too course, planted deeply (4" 10cm) at about 15 per square foot. (150 per square metre). They will flower late, in their first year.
