Incredibly tough plants originating from Eastern Europe. They have soft glabrous leaves a little like comfrey and flower as they come into leaf early in the spring. They are a Paeonia-like mound in May but with leaves disappearing by late July. Flowering March/April 16" (40cm)
Planting instructions
Plant rhizomes 4-5" deep in sun or part shade.They seem to love our heavier moisture retentive soils. Allow 24" spread on established plants
