Found at the edges of streams and lakes in South Africa, the most familiar forms are the hardy powelli ones in white and pink but we have a good stock of C.moorei which is a softer and more graceful plant. They all make large bulbs and will need large planting holes in sunny situations where they can reach moisture in the summer.
