Tulipa Black Parrot
Introduced in 1937 Tulipa Black Parrot is a large, chocolate-maroon tulip standing 20” high with 2” stems. It has a rich satin sheen and frilled edges to the petals, which are irregularly cut, the outside of the petals sometimes marked in green. It is one of the darkest tulips available and is very eye-catching especially, if planted in bold clumps against contrasting foliage. Makes good cut flowers. Flowers in May, height 20”. If given fertililser after flowering will come again for several years.
