Tulipa Bleu Aimable
An old variety dating back to 1916 with Krelage and the initial breeding of the Darwin group that took the new European fashion for bedding tulips by storm. Though a difficult name for the English tongue they are a very long lasting tulip with slightly smaller heads of silvery lavender mauve. Late April and early May flowering 20” (50cm) tall.
With Shirley, Ballade or China Pink.
Planting instructions
Plant the bulbs 5” (12cm) deep and 5” (12cm) apart, or allow 7-9 per square foot in sunny conditions at flowering time in late April and early May.
