The parentage of this hybrid means that while it is still a big flower at about 6” (15cm) across it flowers rather earlier than the other large headed Alliums when it is not quite so tall. The flowers are rosy lilac with extended silvery white stamens providing a halo like sheen.
The bulbs should be planted about 5-6" (12-15 cm) deep in good, fertile, well drained soil in a sunny situation as they are from very big bulbs and benefit from planting deep to ensure that the stems do not wobble.
