Western American in origin, related to Triteleia and Dichelostemma. These are wiry stemmed with what are initially upward facing purple trumpet shaped flowers with white stamens, as they are they open to a more starry shape. Very pretty and good cut flower. They will need soils that do not waterlog and better in well drained and sunny conditions.
