Hyacinthus Gipsy Queen produces compact spikes of pale salmon-orange flowers. These are suitable for the house, where if potted will flower in February or March. Alternatively, if planted in a sunny situation in well drained soil outside in the garden they will flower in April.
This plant/cultivar has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit because it has proved to be reliable in appropriate conditions and a good performing plant.
Hyacinthus Gipsy Queen bulbs can be planted either in a pot or outside in the garden 3-4" (8-10cm) deep in a sunny position.. It will grow outside in any well drained moderately fertile soil. In pots, grow in cool conditions and in good light.
