Muscari muscarimi has an outstandingly sweet musky scent from a creamy yellow flower that fades to a blue-grey colour. M.musacrimi needs a warm sunny dry spot to thrive. The ''Grape Hyacinths'' as the name implies are heavily scented. All do well in the drier, sunny conditions provided under deciduous shrubs in spring, with summer shade, but also make delightful subjects for mixed spring containers.
Muscari muscarimi should be planted 4" (10cm) deep and 2" (5cm) apart. These need a warm dry spot in good soil, with a dry summer rest.
