Delivered to you from September
Narcissus Silver Chimes is a lovely multi-headed tazzetta x triandrus hybrid, derived from Narcissus Grand Monarque with an unusual waxy appearance to the nodding, highly scented pure white petals around a pale primrose cup flowers. It is best planted in slightly warmer conditions where it is not too wet and tends to flower quite late.
Narcissus Silver Chimes bulbs need a warmer and sunnier spot than most daffodils where it is not too wet . Plant the bulbs 5" (12cm) deep and 4" (10cm) apart, from which they will clump up, in fairly well drained conditions. We would suggest you plant them in distinct groups and not randomly as the effect is generally better. Do not be tempted to cut back or tidy the foliage after flowering as this period of replenishment of the bulb's starchy food reserves is critical to future flowering. A liquid feed while starchy leaves are still green will benefit clumps in poorer soil.
