These change colour as the flowers mature so the effect is one of gradual evolution, each flower developing its freckling and faint stripes at a slightly different rate. The whole result is a range of warm colours from white through to raspberry. Most tulips are pretty uniform, these are less so, which I like, but do plant enough of them to get the effect. 

Planting Instructions

Tulip Hemisphere bulbs should be planted 5" (12cm) deep and 5" (12cm) apart, or allow 7-9 per square foot in a position that has a sunny aspect in the spring. Don't be in a rush to get the tulips in the ground as they will benefit from planting in late October or early November, by which time the first frosts will have reduced the level of disease in the soil.
