This is a named form of the Winter Aconite and are usually in flower before the snowdrops. They have a characteristic ruff of green surrounding the pale sulphur yellow flowers, a clean clear colour (schwefenglanz= sulphur gloss in German). Easy and increasing and very different from the deep yellow of the E.hyemalis. No more difficult and a great accompaniment to the snowdrops. Supplied as small tubers.
Plant 3" (8cm) apart somewhere under deciduous trees where the sun and rain fall on them in Spring and in summer they get a dry rest.
Height 4" (10cm)
