Originally found on the Wigtownshire estate of Gavin Maxwell's grandfather in the 1920s. A vigorous and early flowering form, probably a G.nivalis x G.plicatus hybrid, which soon makes very large snowy clumps of upright flowers of good substance. A gift to us from Martina Bell. Supplied as dormant bulbs

Planting Instructions

Plant the bulbs immediately. If planting them in the ground use the smallest size of aquatic mesh pots to aid containment and identification. Fill with improved soil based potting medium and a little sharp sand. Label carefully and water sparingly until autumn.
