Very hardy plants originating from SE Europe and Russia. Potato-like foliage in the spring and this clone has darker maroon flowers in the spring. Plants for shade, ideally not too dry. They disappear underground again in the early summer. Poisonous if ingested.

Planting Instructions

Plant 4-5" (10-12cm) deep, 8" (20cm) apart, in shade, ideally not too dry, prefer heavier soils. Damp in spring. Allow 24" spread. Flowers in April 18" (45cm) Dark maroon flowers. Poisonous if ingested
