Hanging deep pink chandelier-like flower head very attractive to insects.

Planting Instructions

Allium cernuum grows best in lighter soils and needs fairly sunny conditions. These have been pot grown, we suggest that you plant them as one group without disturbance, planting them a little deeper than currently potted. Water them in and again to allow them to get established.  They have garlic scented leaves and upside down chandelier- like flowers about 18" (45 cm) tall in the summer. They are very attractive to insects and bees. The seeds can be left to fall where they will help create a bigger patch. They are hardy and will pretty much disappear for the winter, but need no attention.
