These used to be called Gloxinias and originate from South America where the bulbs perch on steep cliffs in the warmer parts of the Andes. This variety is deep blue, sometimes paler at the throat and more flecked.
Start them in quite warm conditions (20-25 C) to make their roots and then grow them out of direct sunlight but in slightly cooler conditions. If you already grow African Violets and love them these are from the same family and enjoy similar conditions.
