Rosa ‘Orange Morsdag’ is a compact, gift-perfect rose that brings a warm burst of colour and a bouquet-like display of small, fully double blooms. The flowers are a glowing bright orange (often described as orange-red/apricot-orange depending on light and temperature) and are produced in clusters over a neat, bushy plant—ideal for patios, pots and the front of borders.

It’s also a great choice for a Valentine’s present because it’s repeat-flowering over a long season and can carry a light/soft fragrance. Supplied in a 3L rosepot, it arrives as a well-established plant ready to enjoy straight away and then plant on when conditions are right.

Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

Plant into the garden or a larger container in spring or autumn when the soil is workable. If potting on, avoid periods of frost or waterlogging.

Where to Plant:
Choose a sunny position for the best flowering. ‘Orange Morsdag’ is ideal for pots and containers, front borders, and low edging/rose beds. A spot with good airflow helps keep plants healthy.

How to Plant:

  • Depth: Plant at the same level as in the pot (top of compost level with the soil surface).
  • Spacing: Allow around 40 cm between plants if planting in the ground.
  • Soil Prep: Mix in well-rotted compost. If planting in a container, use a loam-based compost and ensure the pot has good drainage holes.

Watering:
Water thoroughly after planting. Keep the soil evenly moist while the rose establishes. Container roses need more regular watering in warm weather.

Aftercare Tips:

  • Deadhead spent blooms to encourage repeat flowering.
  • Feed with a rose fertiliser in spring and again in mid-summer for best performance.
  • Prune in late winter/early spring to maintain a compact, bushy shape.

Top Tip:
For a lovely Valentine’s display, pop the rosepot into a decorative container and place it somewhere bright and sheltered. Regular deadheading will keep the flower clusters coming for longer.
