Planting Instructions

When to Plant:
Plant dry bulbs in early autumn (September to November) while the soil is still warm.

Where to Plant:
Choose a partially shaded location with moist, well-drained soil. Snowdrops thrive under deciduous trees, in borders, rock gardens, or naturalised in grass.

How to Plant:

  • Plant bulbs 5–8cm (2–3 inches) deep and 5–7cm apart.
  • Ensure the pointed end is facing upwards.
  • Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil moist during establishment.

Aftercare:

  • Once established, Galanthus will naturalise and multiply year after year.
  • Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to feed the bulb.
  • Avoid moving or disturbing clumps unless necessary, and do so just after flowering if needed.

Note:
Dry snowdrop bulbs benefit from quick planting and consistent moisture during establishment. They may take a season to fully settle, but once established, they’re long-lived and dependable early bloomers
