Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

Plant from spring through early autumn. Best planted once soil has warmed in spring for quicker establishment.

Where to Plant:
Choose a warm, sunny, sheltered position with free-draining soil. Perfect for gravel gardens, raised beds and large patio containers. Avoid heavy, wet soils.

How to Plant:

• Depth: Plant at the same level as in the pot.
• Spacing: Space 40–50 cm (16–20 inches) apart.
• Soil Prep: Improve drainage by mixing in horticultural grit if soil is heavy. In containers, use a free-draining compost and ensure good drainage holes.

Watering:
Water well after planting. Once established, these plants tolerate drier conditions but will benefit from occasional watering during prolonged dry periods.

Aftercare Tips:

• Lightly trim Lavender and Salvia after flowering to maintain compact shape.
• Avoid winter waterlogging, especially in clay soils.
• Feed lightly in spring to encourage strong flowering.

Top Tip:
Plant alongside terracotta pots and pale gravel to enhance the Mediterranean feel.
