Each bloom evolves beautifully over time, creating a captivating display of colour transformation on a single stem.

Strong, upright, and reliably perennial in good conditions, 'Amazing Belicia' stands tall in borders, containers, or cut flower arrangements, adding a touch of romance and refined elegance wherever it’s planted. Its sturdy stems make it a florist's favourite, while its ever-changing palette delights gardeners and pollinators alike.

Plant in generous clusters for maximum effect and enjoy the graceful charm of this tulip as it blooms in mid to late spring. A truly unforgettable addition to any spring display.

Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

Plant bulbs in autumn, from September to November, while the soil is still workable and before the first frost.

Where to Plant:
Select a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained soil. This tulip performs beautifully in beds, borders, or containers and benefits from protection from strong winds to preserve its double blooms.

How to Plant:

  • Depth: Plant bulbs 15 cm (6 inches) deep.
  • Spacing: Space bulbs 10–12 cm (4–5 inches) apart.
  • Postion: Plant with the pointed tip facing upward.

Watering:
Water after planting to help settle the soil. During winter, rainfall is usually sufficient. Ensure pots do not dry out completely.

Aftercare Tips:

  • Remove faded flowers, but allow the foliage to die back naturally—this feeds the bulb for next year’s growth.
  • Feed potted tulips in spring as leaves emerge with a balanced, low-nitrogen fertiliser.
  • In heavier soils or if replanting is preferred, lift and store bulbs in a dry, cool place once the foliage has fully withered.

Top Tip:
Plant in clusters or groups for a lush, full display. Amazing Belicia is especially beautiful in spring bouquets, so grow extra for cutting and enjoy its charm indoors too.
