Erysimum

Erysimum (Wallflower) is a long-flowering, easy-going favourite that fills the garden with colour and a gentle, sweet scent over an impressively long season. Producing clusters of flowers in warm, rich shades – from butter-yellow and apricot to coppery orange, burgundy and purples – it’s perfect for brightening borders, pots and gravel gardens. Erysimum is brilliant for pollinators, too, providing a valuable source of nectar early in the year and often continuing to flower right through spring and into summer. Plant in a sunny spot with well-drained soil and it will reward you with weeks of colour and a wonderfully relaxed cottage-garden feel.
