Hesperantha

You may be more familiar with this family when they were called Schizostylis (though how that was pronounced generally led to further discussion). They love fairly sunny conditions and whilst they do not want to be waterlogged in winter a damper summer suits them better than a dry one, typical of many South African plants. Certainly lots of humus in the soil is reflected in much better flowering.
