Tulip ‘Apricot Foxx’ is that perfect, softly-glowing tulip that makes everything around it look more refined. A classic Triumph type, its elegant goblet blooms open in layers of apricot, peach and rose—sometimes kissed with a coppery blush—so the colour shifts beautifully through the day. The flowers sit on sturdy, weather-tolerant stems, making it an excellent choice for blustery spring borders as well as smart containers by the door. It’s superb for cutting too: long stems, refined form, and a palette that flatters almost any partner—from deep plums and smoky mauves to creamy whites and the blues of Muscari.

Reliable and easy, ‘Apricot Foxx’ brings a polished, designer look without any fuss—plant a generous sweep for a mellow, sunset glow in mid-spring.

Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

Plant in autumn, from September to November, before the ground freezes.

Where to Plant:
Choose a sunny, sheltered position with well-drained soil. Perfect for borders, beds, and containers. Tulips dislike waterlogging, so improve drainage if necessary.

How to Plant:

  • Depth: 15 cm (6 inches) deep.
  • Spacing: 10–12 cm (4–5 inches) apart.
  • Tip: Plant bulbs with the pointed end facing upwards.

Aftercare:
Water lightly after planting if the soil is dry. Once in flower, deadhead faded blooms but allow the foliage to die back naturally — this helps feed the bulb for the following year.

Top Tip:
For maximum impact, plant tulips in groups of at least 10 or more. Their warm apricot tones combine beautifully with soft pinks, purples, or creamy whites for a stunning spring display.
