Coreopsis

Coreopsis (Tickseed) is a summer essential, loved for its bright, daisy-like flowers and amazingly long flowering season. From early summer right through to autumn, it produces waves of cheerful blooms in sunshine shades of yellow, gold, orange and bicolours, held on airy stems above neat, tidy foliage. It’s wonderfully easy to grow, thriving in sunny borders and containers, and it’s a magnet for bees and butterflies. Coreopsis is also a brilliant “gap-filler” for mixed planting, pairing beautifully with salvias, echinacea, rudbeckia and ornamental grasses. Keep it deadheaded and you’ll be rewarded with months of colour.
