Heuchera ‘Marmalade’ brings a warm glow to the garden all year. Its ruffled, scalloped leaves unfurl in rich shades of caramel, apricot and burnt orange, with rosy undersides that intensify through the seasons. From late spring, slender stems carry dainty cream-pink bells that attract visiting pollinators, adding a light, airy flourish above the foliage.
Forming a neat, evergreen mound (around 30–40cm high and across), ‘Marmalade’ is wonderfully versatile: superb in containers, edging paths, and at the front of mixed borders. It thrives in sun to partial shade and well-drained soil; colour is richest with morning sun and a little afternoon shade. Low-maintenance and reliable, it needs only a tidy of older leaves and an annual mulch. Once established, it’s reasonably drought-tolerant and an easy partner for blues, deep purples and silvery foliage.
