Heuchera

Heuchera – the chameleon of the shade garden. Grown for sumptuous, scalloped foliage in caramel, plum, lime and silver, these neat mounds bring instant, lasting colour to borders, pots and the front of the bed. Dainty wands of bell-shaped blooms appear in late spring to summer, loved by bees. Happy in sun to part shade on free-draining soil, they shine where other perennials fade—under trees, along paths, or weaving among spring bulbs to keep the show going once tulips and narcissus finish. Evergreen or semi-evergreen in mild winters, they tidy easily and divide to refresh plantings. Use as reliable groundcover, to edge a scheme, or to lift containers year-round.
