Bright, cheerful and wonderfully long flowering, Leucanthemum ‘Real Charmer’ produces masses of large creamy-yellow daisy flowers that gradually soften to pale cream as they mature, creating a beautiful multi-tonal display throughout summer.

Held on strong upright stems above neat clumps of dark green foliage, the blooms bring a fresh and relaxed cottage garden feel to borders while also making excellent cut flowers. Their soft colouring blends effortlessly with both pastel and vibrant planting schemes, adding lightness and texture to sunny garden spaces.

Easy to grow and highly rewarding, ‘Real Charmer’ is perfect for mixed borders, cottage gardens, wildlife-friendly planting and containers. The nectar-rich flowers are also highly attractive to bees and pollinators, helping to support biodiversity in the garden.

Supplied as a strong plant ready to establish quickly and provide reliable summer colour year after year.

Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

Plant Leucanthemum in spring or autumn when the soil is workable. Avoid planting during periods of hard frost or into waterlogged ground.

Where to Plant:
Choose a sunny position with well-drained soil. Leucanthemum is ideal for cottage garden borders, mixed perennial beds and pollinator-friendly planting schemes.

How to Plant:

  • Depth: Plant so the top of the rootball sits level with the soil surface.
  • Spacing: Space plants approximately 40–50 cm (16–20 inches) apart.
  • Soil Prep: Improve soil with garden compost or organic matter before planting.

Watering:
Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil lightly moist while plants establish. Once established, plants require only occasional watering during prolonged dry periods.

Aftercare Tips:

  • Deadhead regularly to encourage continued flowering.
  • Cut back faded stems after flowering to maintain a tidy shape.
  • Divide clumps every few years to maintain vigour and flowering performance.

Top Tip:
Plant alongside ornamental grasses, Achillea or lavender for a relaxed cottage garden display full of movement and pollinator-friendly flowers.
