Delicate, graceful and wonderfully natural in appearance, Allium roseum produces loose clusters of soft rosy-pink star-shaped flowers that bring gentle colour and movement to the summer garden.
Held on slender stems above fine green foliage, the elegant blooms have a light, airy quality that blends beautifully into cottage garden borders, prairie-style planting and gravel gardens. The soft pink colouring works especially well amongst pastel perennials, ornamental grasses and naturalistic planting schemes.
Native to the Mediterranean region, Allium roseum has been admired in gardens for centuries for its relaxed beauty, easy-going nature and ability to naturalise gently over time. The flowers are highly attractive to bees and pollinators, making it an excellent addition to wildlife-friendly gardens.
Smaller and softer in appearance than many of the larger ornamental alliums, this charming species is perfect for creating a relaxed and informal display full of texture and movement.
Easy to grow and highly reliable, Allium roseum adds understated elegance and natural charm to sunny borders year after year.
