Crocus vernus Remembrance is one of the ''Dutch'' crocus which are hybrids of Crocus vernus and from which much selection has taken place to provide the varieties on offer. These are larger bulbs which can be planted deeper in thicker grass than the smaller ''normal'' crocus bulbs. This makes them safer from squirrels and mice. Flowering well into the daffodil season they can be an effective foil for the sea of yellow in the March garden with their deep blue purple shade.

Planting Instructions

Crocus vernus Remembrance has flowers in a lilac hue. The bulbs should be planted 4" (10cm) deep and 3" (8cm) apart and work on about 7-12 per square foot, either alone or as part of a sea of such crocuses in mixed colours.
