Delivered to you from late September / Early October
A true woodland gem, with its gracefully reflexed petals of soft lilac-pink, each bloom delicately etched with a golden heart and darker violet markings. Flowering in early to mid-spring, these nodding, lily-like flowers rise elegantly above a carpet of attractively mottled, lance-shaped leaves, bringing gentle charm and natural elegance to shaded borders. Thrives best in humus-rich, well-drained soil that retains moisture in spring but dries out in summer. Ideal for growing in cool, lightly shaded areas where the soil mimics its native alpine woodland conditions. Pair with other spring woodlanders such as anemones, trilliums, or ferns for a tranquil understorey display.

Autumn (September to November)
Where to Plant:
Partial shade is ideal, such as beneath deciduous trees or in lightly shaded borders. These bulbs thrive in humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil—mimicking their natural woodland habitat.
How to Plant:
Soil Preparation:
Enrich the planting area with leaf mould, compost, or well-rotted manure to retain moisture. Good drainage is important, especially in winter.
Aftercare:
Water well after planting. Once established, Erythroniums need minimal attention—just allow foliage to die back naturally. Avoid disturbing them once settled, as they dislike being moved.
