Fritillaria uva-vulpis gets its name from the latin rendition of 'fox grape', its common name in Turkey. There they are plants of cornfields and meadows but in our higher latitudes they need to be grown in the full sun, they are tall enough without being made taller by shade.

Planting Instructions

Fritillaria uva-vulpis bulbs should be planted in a sunny well drained spot out of the wind.  Plant 3-4" (8-10cm) deep and 4-6" (10-15cm) apart
