Bring a dazzling kaleidoscope of colour to your summer garden with Ixia Mixed, a beautiful blend of African Corn Lilies selected to produce a vibrant display of star-shaped flowers in shades of white, cream, yellow, pink, rose, lilac, purple and rich magenta, many with dramatic contrasting dark centres.
Native to the sunny grasslands of South Africa, Ixias are treasured for their graceful, airy habit and their ability to produce dozens of elegant blooms on slender, wiry stems that sway gently in the breeze. Each flower opens wide in bright sunshine and closes again during dull weather or at night, creating an ever-changing display that sparkles on sunny days.
Flowering over several weeks, this colourful mixture is ideal for creating natural-looking drifts through sunny borders, gravel gardens and meadow-style plantings. The blooms are rich in nectar, making them highly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects, while their long stems and excellent vase life make them superb cut flowers for fresh summer arrangements.
Easy to grow in a warm, well-drained position, Ixia Mixed offers exceptional value by providing a succession of colourful blooms from a single planting, bringing movement, elegance and a touch of the exotic to the garden.
A joyful mixture that transforms sunny borders into a tapestry of vibrant summer colour.
