A truly flamboyant double daffodil, bursting with golden-yellow petals and vibrant orange ruffled centres. A celebrated variety since 1956, it brings bold colour and fragrance to borders, pots, or naturalised drifts. Flowering in mid-spring, it stands well against wind. A reliable perennial, returning year after year with increasing vigour. Its striking blooms make excellent cut flowers, brightening homes and gardens alike with a touch of tropical elegance.

Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

September to November, while the soil is still workable.

Where to Plant:
Choose a sunny or lightly shaded spot with well-drained soil. Suitable for borders, naturalising in grass, or pots.

How to Plant:

  • Depth: 10–15cm (3–5 inches)
  • Spacing: 10–12cm apart
  • Postion: Plant with the pointed end facing upwards.

Aftercare:
Water well after planting. Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to feed the bulb for next year. Avoid mowing if planted in grass until leaves have yellowed.

TIP: For a bold spring impact, plant in groups of 6 or more bulbs close together.
