Miniature daffodil, producing a profusion of fragrant, golden-yellow blooms with orange cups on each stem, sometimes up to eight per cluster. Ideal for borders, rock gardens, and containers. Introduced in the 1990s, it quickly became a favourite for its cheerful presence and long flowering season. ‘Baby Boomer’ naturalises well, returning with vigour each spring to herald the season’s joy. A charming choice for smaller spaces with big impact.
When to Plant:
Plant dry bulbs in autumn, ideally September to November, before the first hard frost.
Where to Plant:
Choose a sunny or lightly shaded spot in well-drained soil. Avoid areas where water collects in winter. Ideal for borders, rockeries, containers, or naturalising in lawns and under trees.
How to Plant:
Aftercare:
Water after planting if the soil is dry. Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to feed the bulb for next year. Avoid cutting leaves until they yellow.
TIP:
For a charming, natural effect, plant in informal groups or scatter bulbs and plant where they fall. Works beautifully with other early-spring bulbs like Crocus or Muscari for layered colour.
