Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

Plant in autumn, between September and November, before the ground becomes too cold or waterlogged.

Where to Plant:
Choose a sunny position with free-draining soil. Tulips dislike heavy, wet soils, so improve drainage or plant in raised beds or containers if necessary.

How to Plant:

• Depth: Plant bulbs 15 cm (6 inches) deep.
• Spacing: Allow 10–12 cm (4–5 inches) between bulbs.
• Postion: Plant with the pointed end facing up.

Watering:
Water well after planting. Through winter, natural rainfall is usually sufficient unless the soil becomes very dry.

Aftercare Tips:

• Deadhead flowers after blooming to conserve the bulb’s energy.
• Allow the foliage to die back naturally—this is essential for healthy blooms next year.
• Feed potted tulips or those in poor soil with a balanced fertiliser as the leaves emerge.
