The flowers open on sturdy, compact stems, making them a perfect choice for beds, borders, and containers where their vivid colours can shine up close. Long-lasting and weather tolerant, Amazing Foxy Foxtrot also makes an exquisite cut flower, bringing its rich, painterly tones indoors. Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

Plant bulbs in autumn, between September and November, before the ground becomes too hard from frost.

Where to Plant:
Choose a sunny or lightly shaded location with well-drained soil. This variety thrives in garden beds, containers, and sheltered spots where its double blooms are protected from strong winds and heavy rain.

How to Plant:

  • Depth: Plant bulbs 10–15 cm (4–6 inches) deep.
  • Spacing: Space bulbs 8–10 cm (3–4 inches) apart.
  • Postion: Plant with the pointed end facing upwards.

Watering:
Water well after planting. In winter, rain usually provides enough moisture. If planting in pots, ensure they don’t dry out completely.

Aftercare Tips:

  • Remove spent blooms to prevent seed production.
  • Allow foliage to die back naturally to nourish the bulb for future flowering.
  • Feed container-grown tulips with a balanced fertiliser when leaves begin to emerge in spring.

Top Tip:
For the best visual impact, plant in groups of at least 5 bulbs. ‘Amazing Foxy Foxtrot’ is also an excellent cut flower, so consider growing a few extra for spring arrangements indoors.
