Iris unguicularis Marondera

Iris unguicularis Marondera is bigger flowered than the ‘ordinary’ unguicularis and slightly darker, this is a strain that goes back to a garden in the town of that name in Zimbabwe (where Chris was raised).  Eating any part of the plant may cause severe discomfort.

Planting Instructions

Iris unguicularis Marondera should be planted in a very sheltered, sunny site in well drained soil to allow for 12" spread and height. Water in until established. Only tidy foliage by pulling out old leaves as severe cutting back is not recommended.
